25 More AGF Assessors Trained for the Greener Festival Award

  • 25 new AGF assessor's from 8 countries (Spain, Italy, Portugal, Netherlands, France, UK, USA, Ireland) at sold out training.
  • Total now 65 AGF assessors since training began 12 months ago.

This month 25 more assessors from 8 countries have been trained in Environmental Assessment of Events to for the globally recognised Greener Festival Award.Training was sold out and took place at Manchester Metropolitan University, delivered by A Greener Festival's Claire O'Neill, Teresa Moore and sustainable event expert Rob Scully, drawing upon over a decade of festival and event assessment and professional education experience."The AGF training was great, very worthwhile on a number of levels. Open to new agf assessor's and professionals interested in sustainable event management training covers the following topics:Legal Framework and PolicyLocal Impacts and RisksSustainable ProcurementsTravel & TransportEvent PowerSolid Waste & RecyclingWater usage, Waste Waster and SewerageBehaviour & CommunicationAGF Form Familiarisation & Post Event ReportIncluding AGF Assessment case studies and exercisesAssessors are now out in the fields and cities assessing festivals and events for the awards, with this Spring already DGTL Festival (NL), Liberation (NL), Wood Festival (UK), Bayou Boogaloo (USA), Spring Performing Arts Festival (NL) have taken place, with Meadows Festival (UK), Primavera Sound (ES), Paradise City (BE), Glastonbury (UK), Roskilde (DK), Body & Soul (IE), Mandala Festival (NL) and Doolin Festival (IE) in the next couple of weeks.Since 2015 there are now 65 trained assessors, and the next training opportunity will take place in October.
