AGF at the Showman's Show

The Showman's Show opened its doors on Wed 19th Oct 2022 with a strong focus on Sustainability.Event Director, Johnny Lance comments: "As event organisers we place a great deal of importance on sustainability and do everything within our power to reduce the environmental impact of The Showman's Show. It's encouraging to see that so many of our exhibitors are also running their businesses in a similar way and we know that it is important for our visitors too"The Show also hosted The Vision 2025 Sustainable Event Summit, discussing climate action for UK Outdoor Events.AGF were well represented with Jamal Chalabi, AGF Head of Touring joining a distinguished panel to discuss The Direction of Travel for Live Events. An exploration of sustainable travel for live events.  Teresa Moore, AGF Director, also joined an expert panel discussing Zero Waste Festivals: No Time to Waste. Look out for a new report to be launched in November from Adam Corner entitled "From carbon footprints to cultural influence: engaging live music audiences on travel choices". Grounded in psychology research and based on two roundtables with figures from the live music/festival industry (plus some short surveys with audience members at Shambala festival), the report offers some fresh takes on stubborn problems, offering five recommendations for more effectively engaging and communicating with live music audiences around travel choices.You can find more about the event and its sustainability actions here.
