Arts Council supports sustainability until 2015

Furthering their current commitment, The Arts Council has announced within their 2012-15 plan, that environmental sustainability will be embedded across all of their funding programmes which include ‘Grants for the Arts and the Strategic Touring Fund’.According to www.artscouncil.org.uk the Arts Council will:• Support the arts and cultural sector to take practical steps to embed environmental sustainability into their creative and business models.• Support creative and imaginative responses to climate change• Support the sector in developing the vision and leadership to innovate for the low-carbon economy of the 21st Century."Environmental Sustainability is an issue of global significance.
