Europe’s greenest festival experts are delighted to reveal the first wave of artists set to perform at the UK’s only 5-day, all-ages sustainable event. Set in one of the countries most beautiful spots near the Cheddar gorge and spread across stages all powered by renewable energy, the Big Green Gathering have been Europe’s leading green festival for over a decade, delivering incredible entertainment year upon year..
MUSIC REVEALED;This years artists include Ex-Hawkwind’s THE NIK TURNER BAND, festival favourites 3 DAFT MONKEYS, dub-electro act DUBBLEHEAD, Scroobius Pips favourite rapper and jaw dropping wordsmith; MC EXCENTRAL TEMPEST,Australian 7-piece RAPSKALLION and drum n bass maestro CELT ISLAM SOUND SYSTEM.With something for everyone, Celtic-Eastern soundscape DRAGONSFLY are stepping up along with SEIZE THE DAY, QUODLINGS DELIGHT, EMERGENCE, UNITY AND DIVISION, KING PORTER STOMP and LOVER GROCE.
They are joined on the bill by extraordinary performers including; BIZALI, DIDDLEY SQUAT, GRAVY TRAIN, TARANTISM, HADAR MANOR, GABBY YOUNG & OTHER ANIMALS, EDD KEANE, BERT MILLER & THE ANIMAL FOLK and RAE.
Packed with workshops, talks, campaigns, organic farms, permaculture, healing area, the Big Green Gathering is a visionary village; showcasing talent in every artistic form.

Theatre news just confirmed includes Jonathan Kay; head honcho of the National Academy of Fools (NAF)!
He will be training up Green Gatherer’s in the art of nonsense, the delicacy of foolishness and promoting play!
Followed by Fragments Theatre Company presenting a special performance of THE BAY; powerful, political and highly acclaimed play with promotional input from the crew behind Climate action film; The Age of Stupid.
Spoken word extraordinaire festival crew HAMMER AND TONGUE are on board, bringing with them the UK’s finest poets and wordsmiths set to unleash ear-bending talent.

WORKSHOPS;
With hundreds of workshops planned in every area of permaculture, talks, campaigns, healing, music arts and crafts there is so much to dive into! Highlights include;
LAUGHTER WORKSHOPS with Joe Hoare – experience the contagious, healthy intoxication of the art of laughter, no jokes necessary! ECSTATIC DANCE with Jewls Wingfield and Permaculture workshops, learning how to build your own sustainable world and take action!
Other artists in board are Rinky Dinks Mobile Cycle Powered Soundsystem and Wandering Ska to name just a couple– solar powered, interactive and inspiring.
