Running with the wind

The Cheyenne River Lakota Sioux are poised to sign A $400 million (£280 million) agreement with a Boston energy firm to  create a massice wind farm accross their 1 million acre reservation in a move the Native American tribe hope will bring them economic benefits as well as green energy for 50-60,000 homes. The Tribes Four Winds Energy company (Tate Topa) say "to our people the four winds are four brothers, they are our relatives ... we have a cultural relationship with the wind. We say the wind will take care of us and, with this project, it is". The project, funded by Citizens Energy, will create much needed jobs over a three year period ansd will produce 120MW of energy fior the grid.
