earth hour 3EARTH HOUR: One hour of darkness to protect our brilliant planet!Do The Green Thing have teamed up with WWF-UK and asked world-class creatives to design a poster to inspire the world to live more sustainably for Earth Hour and beyond. From the 1st of March until Earth Hour on the 29th of March, a different poster from a famous creative will be released every day. Each of the 29 posters serve as a piece of inspiration to encourage millions of people around the world to take up simple actions like cycling to work and eating less meat to reduce the impact we are having on the planet.Earth Hour Tom Uglow PosterThe contributors who have lent their creativity for the campaign include Sir Paul Smith, Rankin, Sir Quentin Blake, David Shrigley (poster right), Neville Brody, Marion Deuchars (Share Your Bath Water, below) ,  Camilla Rutherford, Paula Scher, Philip Treacy (below), Tom Uglow (below) and Dan & Ray (below),Concluding the campaign on the 29th of March is 22 year old Rebecca Charlton from Bolton, who won the public vote in the Earth Hour Young Creatives competition. This year we are proud to team up with WWF-UK to present 29 Posters for the Planet, a campaign to promote Earth Hour on 29th March and promote sustainable behaviour beyond it. Together, the 29 Posters are beautiful, playful, romantic, mischievous and provocative, and I hope they will inspire as many people as possible to be part of Earth Hour 2014 and Do The Green Thing before, during and after it.”Rachel Bloodworth, head of public engagement at WWF-UK said: “WWF’s Earth Hour is about inspiring people around the world to help protect the planet and the 29 posters campaign with Do The Green Thing is a brilliant way of creatively showing how we can all live a more sustainable lifestyle. The quality of designs from both the student competition and the well-known creatives have blown us away with their thought provoking and artistic qualities. We’re so proud to be a part of this collaboration and the final designs are an incredible collection that beautifully reflect the spirit of what Earth Hour is all about.”earth hour 2earth hour 4earth hour 5
