Shambala sells out (we mean tickets!)
Shambala Festival have announced that “against the grain” of one of the toughest summer's for the British festival industry, the completely independent Shambala Festival has now sold out it's 2012 tickets. Shamabala will feature over 200 diverse musical acts across 12 live stages, world-class cabaret, an amazing array of over 200 programmed workshops, stand-up comedy, inspirational talks and debates, jaw dropping circus and acrobatics, interactive theater and nationally acclaimed poetry all housed in beautifully decorated venues.This year's line up includes Roots Manuva, Ed Rush & Optical, Vieux Farka, Toure and Billy Bragg, with art installations, talks and debates, Guerrila Science, the enchanted woods, a world of workshops, Kamikaze Cabaret, spoken and wondering word, happy economics, the story telling yurt, craft area, the Grand Spiegel, the Idler Academy, the Shambala Springs, the Lost Picture Show, the Healing Meadows, the Shambolympics, Videopia, The Time Machine, White Rabit Cabaret, and so, so much more...Shambala is also a multi-award-winning green festival placed at the centre of green initiatives for live music events - winning the “Greener Festival Award” at the UK Festival Awards last year and rated ‘outstanding’ by A Greener Festival. The event is 99% powered by wind, sun and waste vegetable oil.
