UK Festival Awards applications close October 2nd

Our friend The UK Festival Awards will host its 15th edition on December 6th at the Troxy in London, following the sell-out success of its 2017 ceremony.Applications are live until October 2nd for each of the Awards’ 19 categories – including Best Major, Medium-Sized, and Small Festival; the Best Festival for Emerging Talent; the Grassroots Festival Award; the Brand Activation Award and more. Applications can be made here.This year the UKFA will welcome rapper, comedian and actor Doc Brown to be its host. Beginning his career as underground rapper Doc Brown, Ben Bailey Smith has since diversified considerably, moving into mainstream TV and film acting, stand up, screen writing and children’s books. He has a host of notable television performances under his belt, including a starring role in ITV’s Law & Order, C4’s The Inbetweeners and Derek, BBC thriller Hunted, BBC comedies Rev, Miranda, Fleabag, Russell Howard’s Good News, Live at the Apollo and ITV’s Midsomer Murders, and is highly regarded for his ongoing work with Ricky Gervais.Tickets for the ceremony are priced at £125 (plus VAT) and can be purchased here.
