Salary: £34,000 Job type:
Full-time, 5 days a week
Working hours: 40 hours per week
About EarthPercent:
EarthPercent, a registered charity (charity number 1188391), was co-founded by Brian Eno and a group of music industry entrepreneurs and executives.
EarthPercent seeks to include the planet as a stakeholder in music projects and organisations by asking artists, companies and individuals to pledge a percentage of their revenue to EarthPercent. Working in collaboration with our world-class advisory panel, comprised of climate scientists, academic researchers, policy makers, and youth activists, we then identify and fund high-impact climate projects and solutions across five key action areas:
- Nature preservation and restoration
- Climate justice
- Just energy transition
- Legal and policy change
- Greening the music industry
To date, we have successfully raised nearly $1 million, distributing these funds to 15 organisations with the support of over 200 artists. It’s a strong start, but we want to do more. This is the most important decade of the climate crisis and we want to do as much as we can to channel revenue from music to the movement. And this is where you come in...
Job Description: We are looking for a full time Development Manager to help us fundraise from the music industry across labels, publishers, promoters, festivals, agents, management and artists of all kinds. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the music industry, boasting an extensive network within it. You should be passionate about extending your network through meetings, event attendance, gigs, festivals and conferences. While our Board of Trustees and ambassadors have valuable industry connections, the successful applicant should bring their own relationships and be eager to involve them in EarthPercent's mission. - Communicate the story of EarthPercent sincerely and accurately to motivate people to support our cause.
- Work closely with our administrative assistant to formally on-board contacts and manage their accounts going forward.
- Represent EarthPercent at conferences and industry events, showcasing strong networking skills.
