AGF CEO Claire O'Neill talks sustainability with BBC Radio 6

Appearing on BBC's Craig Charles radio show, AGF CEO Claire O'Neill discussed the role of A Greener Future, how carbon emissions are calculated, what happens to tent waste, the main challenges for event sustainability, and even the use of pedal power in events!Asked about the challenges and cost effectiveness of becoming environmentally sustainable Claire said:"Its becoming increasingly cost effective...as a world as a whole, things like energy is becoming increasingly expensive, and a big part about sustainability is being smarter in what we do....we'd like to see events move away from diesel generators and connect to the national grid, but that can take money and investment. Another issue is getting audiences on board...trying to communicate green travel options, to not leave waste behind, or to choose plant based food, can be hard to bring everyone along".The show was released on 5th April on BBC Sounds, available here until the 27th April
