More Panels & Speakers Announced for Green Events & Innovations Conference 2025

We are delighted to share updates about the Green Events & Innovations Conference (GEI17), which will bring together global innovators and sector leaders to share, network, and accelerate environmental and social actions to make impactful changes in all kinds of events. After a sellout success last year, the 17th edition will take place on 25th February 2025 at the Royal Lancaster London.

We’ve curated an exciting programme of informative, entertaining, and inspiring conversations. With a key theme of Biodiversity, Marie Sabot (We Love Green festival) and Hortense Serret (CESCO / Nabi Ecology) will provide insight into the work of We Love Green festival and the City of Paris (where the festival takes place) in dealing with the ecological protection and enhancement at the event’s site and surrounding area.

A Greener Future’s Nikita Coulter presents the National Arenas Association Green Guide alongside NAA, demonstrating how it provides an interface between promoters, productions, venues, and audiences. Continuing the multi stakeholder theme,
A Greener Tour Round V session returns, which will see representatives from various parts of the live ecosystem look for collaborative solutions for improving the impact of touring.

Power solutions are a hot topic, and we’ll be exploring the latest technologies to remove diesel from events and film productions. Joined by Dale Vince (Ecotricity / Forest Green Rovers), Roxy Erickson (Music Climate Pact), and Claire O'Neill (AGF/Grid Faeries), we’ll look at initiatives like the Grid Faeries 1MW battery, grid installations, and investment in supplier equipment. We’ll also address what it means to create a ‘deep green energy basket’ for the sector.

Elsewhere, water and sanitation challenges will take the stage, as Jane Healy (J Healy Productions / Glastonbury / Boomtown Fair) leads discussions on protecting these increasingly scarce and polluted essential resources. Steven Howell (Music Insurance Brokers) will then provide insights into managing risks and navigating the insurance landscape for events affected by extreme weather.

We’ll also shine a spotlight on cultural events as a force for good. Gabrielle Austen-Browne (Diversity Alliance) will discuss meaningful DEIBA integration, while Sanjoy K. Roy (Teamwork Arts) will highlight sustainability actions at the Jaipur Literature Festival. Following Act 1.5 Expedition One, we’ll explore the future of sustainability reporting and its intersection with public health.

As our CEO Claire O’Neill says,
“We’re very excited with how the programme is shaping up with such important topics for the 17th edition. We can’t wait to host our inspiring GEI community and welcome newcomers this year!

These sessions add to our previously announced highlights:

TICKET TO RIDE by The Changency & Crowd Impact, featuring German pop/rock band AnnenMayKantereit; Massive Attack’s Act 1.5 Climate Action Accelerator; and the Quick-Fire Innovation Round, giving delegates the opportunity to pitch innovative green solutions to peers and future clients. Applications for the round are open on the GEI website.

We’ve also confirmed speakers such as Sangeeta Waldron (Serendipity PR), Dr. Teresa Moore (A Greener Future), Madame Gandhi (Artist / Activist, US), and John Robb (Artist / Author).

The conference will conclude with the International AGF Awards 2025, sponsored by Skydiamond, recognising outstanding green initiatives from events, venues, organisations, and individuals worldwide. Last year, Belgium’s Paradise City took home the top accolade, alongside the Greener Catering Award for their vegan and locally sourced menus.

GEI is organised by us, A Greener Future (AGF), in partnership with ILMC, the world’s leading platform for live music and entertainment. We bring together sustainability leaders to discuss, innovate, and celebrate the future of green events. Expect engaging talks, impactful case studies, second-to-none networking, and a 5* vegan lunch.

We’re proud to be supported by Ecotricity, The O2, Skydiamond, and EarthPercent, and there are still sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities available for 2025.
